Jazz I, II & III are part of the daily curriculum at Concord High School. Jazz Band is offered 1st & 2nd semester and meets for 50 minutes each day. Along with preparing music for many festivals and community events, students study jazz history, theory and improvisation.
The Concord Jazz Bands have won several outstanding soloist awards in recent years and have been named honor band at various high school and university jazz festivals. The jazz bands at Concord pride themselves on delivering musical performances of great big band literature and performing with an energy that brings a smile and a toe tapping production to the audience.
